DUBAI: Pakistan batter Babar Azam and left-arm fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi made notable gains in the latest ICC Men’s ODI Player Rankings.
Babar moved up one place in the ODI batting rankings, climbing from seventh to sixth with 689 rating points. Salman Ali Agha also improved his standing, rising two places from 18th to 16th with 630 rating points. His progress reflects his growing importance in Pakistan’s middle order.
Mohammad Rizwan retained 31st position with 560 points, while Fakhar Zaman slipped one place from 36th to 37th with 544 points. Young opener Saim Ayub remained unchanged at 44th.
New Zealand’s Daryl Mitchell continued to lead the ODI batting rankings with 802 rating points. India captain Shubman Gill stayed in second place, while Virat Kohli remained third.

In the ODI bowling rankings, Shaheen climbed two places from ninth to seventh with 604 rating points, strengthening his position among the world’s top fast bowlers.
Haris Rauf also gained two places, moving up to 20th with 556 points. Naseem Shah dropped two spots to 49th, while Mohammad Wasim Jr improved one place to 70th.
Afghanistan spinner Rashid Khan retained top spot in the ODI bowling rankings, with Pakistan’s Abrar Ahmed holding second position. England pacer Jofra Archer climbed to third, replacing South Africa’s Keshav Maharaj in the top three.
