ISLAMABAD: After reaching a record high last day, the price of per tola price of 24 karat gold experienced a new record high with an increase of Rs4,900 on Thursday and was traded at Rs195,500 as compared to Rs190,600 on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, the price of 10 grams of 24 karat gold also witnessed an increase of Rs 4,201 to Rs 167,610 as compared to Rs163,409, while
the price of 10 grams of 22 karat was appreciated to Rs153,642 from Rs149,791, All Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association reported.
The price of one tola silver also witnessed an increase of Rs50 to Rs2,150 whereas that of ten-gram silver increased by Rs42.87 to Rs1,843.28.
Gold prices in the international market went up by US$11 to US$ 1,936 against its sale at US$1,925 on Wednesday, the association reported.
Increase in Gold Prices
Prices of Gold has witnessed sharp increase in the last couple of days and went up from Rs 180,000 to over Rs 195,000 raised concerns in the markets, particularly for those using it at domestic level and during matrimonial ceremonies.
