TEHRAN: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi on Wednesday held discussions with his Turkish and Saudi counterparts following US strikes on southern Iran, Press TV reported.

According to the report, Araghchi held separate telephone conversations with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan to review recent regional developments and exchange views on the escalating situation.

During the talks, Araghchi strongly condemned the US attacks, describing them as a violation of Iran’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. He stated that such actions amount to aggression under international norms and deepen regional tensions.

The Iranian foreign minister further reaffirmed Tehran’s position that it retains the right to respond in legitimate self-defence, indicating that Iran reserves the option to take appropriate measures in response to the strikes.

The diplomatic outreach comes amid rising tensions in the region, with several countries engaging in urgent consultations aimed at preventing further escalation.
