ISLAMABAD: Ambassador of Pakistan to the United States Masood Khan has said that business-to-business relations between the US and Pakistan were especially, increasing in the technology sector.
The Pakistani envoy said this while talking to Stuart Holliday, Chief Executive of Meridian International Center and former ambassador for the US, during the farmer visit to the Meridian International Center, on Saturday said.
According to a press release, the ambassador Masood Khan said that the United States is the most prominent attraction for Pakistani exporters and in the coming years bilateral trade is likely to grow further.
He further underlined the current phase of Pak-US relations while enhancing economic cooperation.
Pak-US business ties
The envoy added that in recent high-level engagements between the two countries, both sides prioritized trade, agriculture, businesses, climate change, green energy, technology, disaster preparedness, health, environment, and people-to-people exchanges.
Meridian International assured the envoy that it would assist promoting closer ties between the two sides in the areas of leadership training programs, education, culture, climate change and business.
Being a non-partisan institution, the Meridian International Center focuses in advancing global security and prosperity through effective leadership and diplomacy.
It encourages global leadership exchange and education programs, partnerships, and initiatives that encourages international cooperation on major issues i.e., energy, security, and the environment, economic development, global health, entrepreneurship and culture.
Ambassador Khan also recalled about the previous year, where several delegations of Pakistani students, professionals, and experts visited the United States while adding that such visits will build bridges between Pakistan and the United States in the long run and Pakistan would welcome more such visits in future.
He also appreciated the Meridian International Center’s efforts to strengthen engagement between the US and other states of the world through diplomacy, leadership, and culture to address combined global challenges.
