The Minister further stated that despite the Sindh government setting a minimum salary of Rs25,000, there had been complaints about private school teachers receiving an inadequate salary, i.e., Rs8,000–10,000 per month.
This minimal pay will be imposed by the government for all employees of private schools. Since many students are unable to continue their studies after elementary school due to a lack of educational options, the Minister also underlined the need to upgrade primary schools across the province.
To boost Sindh’s educational system, the government aims to build more elementary schools as compared to primary schools to address this issue. A transgender policy being developed by the government, with a focus on educating and training transgender people, will be released soon.
A private partnership has also designed a plan that will offer commute services for female students in the area. To eliminate any transportation concerns for female students, a bus service will be launched to take students from their academic institutions to their cities over a distance of 30 kilometers.
The Minister concluded by stating that the education of 2.3 million students had been impacted by the province’s recent floods, which resulted in 12,000 schools being partially damaged and 7,500 being destroyed.
