BEVERLY HILLS, CA: An investigation is underway after a woman allegedly opened fire on the home of global superstar Rihanna on Sunday afternoon. Law enforcement sources have confirmed that the singer was inside her residence at the time of the incident but was not harmed.

Suspect detained following shooting

According to reports from the scene, the suspect, described as a woman in her thirties, fired multiple rounds from her vehicle toward the property. Authorities were quick to respond, and the individual was taken into custody by law enforcement officers at the location. The motive behind the shooting remains unclear, and detectives are actively working to determine what led to the incident.

Star was home during incident

Rihanna, 38, was present in the residence when the gunfire occurred. While the ordeal has raised significant concern, sources indicate that the “Umbrella” singer is safe and uninjured. It is currently not known if her partner, the rapper A$AP Rocky, 37, or their three young children—RZA, three, Riot, two, and five-month-old Rocki—were at home at the time of the shooting.

A look at the property

The incident took place at the couple’s lavish $14 million estate, which Rihanna purchased in 2021. The historic home, originally built in the 1930s, is nestled on a private, tree-lined cul-de-sac in the Beverly Hills mountains. The property features five bedrooms, seven bathrooms, an open-air courtyard, and a pool, and is shielded from the street by tall, privacy hedges. The neighborhood is also home to other celebrities, including music icon Paul McCartney, who lives across the street.

Scene draws large police presence

In the aftermath of the shooting, the area surrounding the mansion was secured by law enforcement. Photographs from the scene showed yellow police tape blocking off access to the street, with several squad cars and detectives present. A helicopter was also observed circling above the glitzy neighborhood as part of the police response.

Representatives for Rihanna and the Beverly Hills Police Department have been contacted for comment but have yet to issue an official statement regarding the incident.
