QUETTA: A horrifying incident emerged on Saturday during ongoing security forces’ clearance operations in Pakistan’s southwestern Balochistan’s Noshki district, where the bodies of five innocent laborers from Sindh province were recovered.

The workers are believed to have been killed by India-sponsored terrorists of the banned Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA), according to security officials.

The discovery comes amid intensified counterterrorism operations across the province, during which multiple planned attacks have recently been thwarted.

According to security sources, the bodies were found on February 7, 2026 in different areas of Noshki while clearance operations were underway.

The deceased have been identified as Irshad Ahmed son of Yar Muhammad, a resident of Khairpur district; Ghulam Abbas son of Muhammad Murad; Shehzad son of Faiz Muhammad; Sajjad son of Faiz Muhammad; and Kamran son of Allah Diwaya, all residents of Ghotki district in Sindh.

Investigations into the incident have been initiated, and arrangements are being made to transport the bodies to their respective hometowns after completion of legal formalities.

The brutal killings present a stark and disturbing picture of a deliberate conspiracy aimed at promoting ethnic hatred and division within Pakistan.

Security officials state that the laborers were targeted solely on the basis of their identity and province of origin, reportedly after their national identity cards (CNICs) were checked.

This act of barbarity has once again exposed the violent nature of the banned Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA), which has a history of targeting civilians, laborers, and other non-combatants.

The incident has been described as a serious crime against humanity and a calculated attempt to inflame ethnic tensions in the country.

Officials stress that unity among citizens remains essential for safeguarding Pakistan’s peace, stability, and national defense.

The killings occurred at a time when security operations against terrorism in Balochistan have significantly intensified.

According to the military’s media wing, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), over the past two days, security forces successfully foiled multiple terrorist attacks across various parts of the province, killing a total of 133 terrorists, including three suicide bombers.

During these operations, 15 soldiers of the security forces embraced martyrdom. The ISPR further stated that Indian-backed terrorists attempted to disrupt law and order in and around Quetta, Mastung, Noshki, Dalbandin, Kharan, Panjgur, Tump, Gwadar, and Pasni.

However, timely and effective action by security forces neutralized these threats. The attempted attacks had also targeted unarmed civilians, including women, children, and laborers.

Security authorities have reiterated that clearance operations will continue throughout Balochistan and that action against terrorist networks will persist until their complete elimination.

The aim, officials say, is to ensure lasting peace and to prevent further attempts to destabilize the province through violence and fear.
