It added that the AI factories will provide a single-point national service, offering comprehensive support to European AI startups, small and medium-sized enterprises, and researchers.

According to the statement, the six new AI factories will receive over €500 million ($578.6 million) in funding from the EU and its member states, aimed at expanding Europe’s high-performance computing capacity and accelerating AI adoption in key industries.

“This expansion strengthens Europe’s position as a global leader in artificial intelligence and ensures that AI solutions can be developed, tested, and scaled within a digitally sovereign European ecosystem,” it concluded.
