NEW YORK: The Saudi aid agency, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief), has signed a joint executive programme with the International Organisation for Migration (IOM) to support educational services in Yemen.
Supervisor-General of KSrelief Dr. Abdullah Al Rabeeah and Director-General of IOM Amy Pope signed the agreement on the sidelines of the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York City, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Wednesday.
The programme is designed to support the recovery of the education sector from the effects of crisis and displacement by rehabilitating and expanding 12 schools across the governorates of Aden, Lahj, and Taiz.
It aims to create a safe and conducive learning environment for students, ensuring the continuity of education amid ongoing challenges.
