DOHA, Qatar: Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has assured Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz of Islamabad’s unwavering support to the Kingdom on all fronts.

The assurance came during a bilateral meeting held on the sidelines of the emergency Arab-Islamic Summit in Doha. The meeting was also attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, as well as Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, a PM House statement said on Monday.

The discussions took place in a cordial and friendly atmosphere, where both leaders exchanged views on the evolving regional situation following Israel’s aggression in Gaza.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif strongly condemned the Israeli actions, describing them as a deliberate conspiracy to undermine efforts aimed at establishing lasting peace in the Middle East.

He lauded the bold and visionary leadership of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, crediting him with uniting the Muslim Ummah at a critical juncture.

The Prime Minister reaffirmed that Pakistan will extend full support to Saudi Arabia at all levels—including at the United Nations Security Council, where Pakistan currently serves as a non-permanent member—as well as in all relevant international and regional forums, including the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).

Shehbaz Sharif emphasised that the emergency summit in Doha sends a clear message to the world: the Muslim world stands united against Israel’s illegal and irresponsible aggression, which poses a serious threat to regional peace and stability.

The two leaders also reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening the historic and brotherly ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. Prime Minister Sharif expressed his gratitude to the Crown Prince for the Kingdom’s consistent and generous support to Pakistan, especially during times of economic and political hardship.

Prince Mohammed bin Salman, referring to the Prime Minister’s upcoming official visit to Riyadh, said the visit would provide an opportunity for both countries to engage in comprehensive discussions—not only on bilateral cooperation but also on key regional and global issues.

Prime Minister Shehbaz also conveyed his deep respect and best wishes to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz.

The Crown Prince, in turn, appreciated Prime Minister Shehbaz’s leadership and Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts to show solidarity with Qatar, particularly its constructive role at the UN Security Council and the OIC.
