RIYADH: Saudi Arabia on Thursday condemned the Israeli “occupation authorities’ persistence in their crimes against the Palestinian people and their occupied land”, and their ongoing attempts to displace them and prevent the establishment of an independent Palestinian state.
“This includes their ongoing expansion of settlement construction around occupied Jerusalem and the expansion of their operations and aggression, amounting to crimes of genocide against defenceless civilians in the Gaza Strip,” the Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Thursday.

Saudi Arabia reaffirmed that these steps constitute serious violations of international law and relevant Security Council resolutions.
It said that the implementation of these dangerous Israeli plans and continued Israeli occupation authorities and forces’ crimes without deterrence have a significant impact on the security and stability of the region, and threaten the legitimacy of the international order.
