Pakistan Cricket Board Unveils White-Ball Squads for West Indies Tour

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Friday unveiled the white-ball squads for the upcoming tour of the West Indies, which includes three One Day Internationals (ODIs) and three T20 Internationals (T20Is).

Mohammad Rizwan will continue to captain the ODI side, with the Men’s National Selection Committee naming a 16-man squad for the three-match series. The ODIs are scheduled to take place at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Trinidad & Tobago on 8, 10, and 12 August.

Right-handed batter Hasan Nawaz is the sole uncapped player in the ODI line-up. Star players Babar Azam and Shaheen Shah Afridi make their return to the 50-over format.

 Bowling attack

Pakistan will begin their tour with a three-match T20I series against the West Indies, set to be played on 31 July, 2 and 3 August at Central Broward Park and Broward County Stadium in Lauderhill, USA.

All-rounder Salman Ali Agha will lead the T20I squad, which sees the return of pace bowlers Haris Rauf, Hasan Ali, and Shaheen Shah Afridi, adding strength to the bowling attack.

T20I vice-captain Shadab Khan remains sidelined from national duty after recently undergoing successful surgery on his right shoulder in the UK, an issue he had been contending with for some time.

The squad is expected to arrive in the USA on Sunday, 27 July, following the conclusion of their three-match T20I series in Bangladesh.
