Pakistan’s Envoy to Saudi Arabia, CEO of Diriyah Gate Development Authority Discuss Matters of Mutual Interest

RIYADH: Pakistan’s ambassador to Saudi Arabia Ahmad Farooq has, met with Jerry Inzerillo, CEO of Diriyah Gate Development Authority in Riyadh and discussed ways to strengthen bilateral ties.

The meeting focused on strengthening Saudi-Pakistani ties in the field of heritage and culture, the Pakistani Embassy wrote in a post on X on Sunday.

The ambassador presented Inzerillo with a painting from his own Diriyah-themed series, created to celebrate the Kingdom’s history and heritage.

He also presented him with a made-in-Pakistan FIFA-standard football “symbolising Pakistan’s craftsmanship and the mutual spirit of friendship.”

The Diriyah Gate Development Authority (DGDA) was established in July 2017 with a mandate to preserve and celebrate historic Diriyah; the Jewel of the Kingdom.

It is the home of the first Saudi capital, recognized as the symbolic birthplace of the nation, and an inspiration for the generations of leaders that have led the Kingdom.

Diriyah, and its UNESCO World Heritage Site At-Turaif, is known for magnificent mud-brick structures in the Najdi architectural style.

It is a place where history lives and breathes and visitors can walk in the footsteps of kings and heroes through incomparable scenery.

The authority has received numerous awards for its commitment to inclusivity, a diverse workforce, and impactful community projects, showcasing dedication to innovation and sustainability.
