RAMALLAH: The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has condemned the destruction of a Saudi-owned warehouse in the war-hit Gaza Strip.

Israel bombed and destroyed the Saudi Centre for Culture and Heritage in the Morag area, east of Rafah, along with the medical supplies which were stored there to assist the sick and injured in the Gaza Strip.

It condemned the escalation of Israeli aggression, the targeting of Palestinian civilians, and the perpetration of massacres against children, women, and the elderly.

The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs called on the UN Security Council to uphold its responsibilities and take immediate action to stop the war of extermination, displacement, annexation, and the ongoing massacres of Palestinian civilians. It stressed the importance of empowering the Palestinian government to regain control of the Gaza Strip and initiate reconstruction efforts.

Meanwhile, Qatar also condemned the Israeli occupation forces’ bombing of the Dar Al Arqam School, which was sheltering displaced people in Gaza, as well as the destruction of a warehouse belonging to the Saudi Centre for Culture and Heritage in the Gaza Strip, considering both acts a blatant violation of international humanitarian law.

In a statement issued on Friday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stressed the urgent need for the international community to act to hold Israel accountable for its repeated crimes against civilians and civilian infrastructure and to compel it to comply with international laws.

The Ministry reaffirmed the State of Qatar’s firm and unwavering stance in support of the Palestinian cause and the resilience of the Palestinian people, based on international legitimacy and the two-state solution. This position aims to ensure the establishment of an independent Palestinian state along the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
