ISLAMABAD/ TEXAS: A powerful storm has caused tornadoes in the southern parts of the US and caused heavy snowfall and extreme weather across the country and some parts of Canada.
Storm and snowfall injuries
Several people have reportedly been injured in the storm that hit Texas and damaged several buildings.

The storm and snowfall delayed around 9,000 US flights on Monday and Tuesday.
The extreme weather also led to the closure of roads in some western states that were expecting up to 2ft of snow.
US authorities said that the storm could affect residents in almost every state in the contiguous US, weather experts said.
Weather Prediction Center meteorologist Rich Otto said that it was a fairly strong storm system and it was a little larger than the average winter storm. He advised people to stay home if they live up north.
The worst weather began on Monday night and was expected to continue into Wednesday, hitting the central and northern High Plains, including Montana, Wyoming, South Dakota and Nebraska, Mr Otto said.
