ABYAN: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has delivered 30 alternative classrooms and distributed 600 school bags and school uniforms to students in the Khanfir District of Yemen’s Abyan Governorate as part of the 2nd phase of the “Back to School” project in Yemen, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
According to the SPA, parents of the benefiting students expressed their gratitude to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by KSrelief, for providing their kids with essential educational assistance and for offering alternative classrooms that meet the highest standards of quality.
The SPA reported that the educational assistance is part of the efforts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) through its humanitarian arm, KSrelief, aimed at supporting the education sector in Yemen and improving its conditions across different governorates and areas.
According to the SPA, the project aims to equip around 95 alternative classrooms and provide educational materials such as school bags and uniforms in Abyan, Hajjah, Hadhramaut and Perim Island in Taiz Governorate. The project seeks to create job opportunities for low-income families through the production of locally produced school bags.
