DUBAI: Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world, was illuminated with the Pakistani national flag in celebration of the country’s Independence Day. A large crowd of oversea Pakistanis, including children, gathered to witness the flag display, expressing their love for their homeland and offering prayers for its prosperity.

Earlier that day, a flag-hoisting ceremony was held at the Consulate General of Pakistan in Dubai to mark Pakistan’s 78th Independence Day. The event was attended by numerous members of the Pakistani community and their families.

In his welcome address, Consul General Hussain Muhammad congratulated the Pakistani community in the UAE on the occasion. He highlighted that Pakistan emerged as the largest Muslim state on the world map on August 14, 1947, under the visionary leadership of Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.

Furthermore, he emphasized the countless sacrifices rendered by their forefathers to create an independent state where they could live with freedom, dignity, and self-respect.
