ISLAMABAD: Days following concluding his five-day trip to China, Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said that a high-powered delegation from the neighbouring nation would soon visit Pakistan.
Briefing the federal cabinet members on his China visit during a meeting in Islamabad, the PM stated: “A high-powered Chinese delegation will be visiting Pakistan soon.”
He stated that despite the security issue highlighted during the meeting with the Chinese leadership and business community, the visit also concluded with a “positive note.”
He said, “I can say clearly that the visit concluded with a positive note. During the talks with the Chinese ambassador at the banquet hosted by the Communist Party Secretary during my trip to Shanxi province, I got a deep feeling that the visit reminded very successful.”
The PM thanked all of his cabinet members especially Ishaq Dar, Ahsan Iqbal, Dr Musaddik Malik, Khawaja Muhammad Asif, and Shaza Fatima Khawaja, and relevant federal secretaries for their collective efforts which led to the success of the trip.
The Prime Minister expressed confidence that the collective efforts would also lead to the swift and successful execution of the second phase of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor.
