Saudi FM Conveys Leadership’s Condolences over Death of Iranian President, FM

TEHRAN: Foreign Minister of Saudi Arabia Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah has conveyed condolences of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, to top Iranian officials in Tehran on the death of President Ebrahim Raisi and his companions, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Wednesday.

Minister of State, Cabinet Member, and Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Prince Dr. Mansour bin Miteb bin Abdulaziz was also accompanying the foreign minister.

The condolences came during a reception held by Iranian President’s Deputy Chief of Staff for Political Affairs Mohammad Jamshidi and Foreign Minister Ali Bagheri Kani at the Conventions Palace in Tehran.

The Saudi officials prayed to Allah the Almighty to bestow his mercy upon the souls of President Ebrahim Raisi, Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, and members of the accompanying delegation.

Saudi Ambassador to Iran Abdullah bin Saud Al-Anzi was also present on the occasion.
