RIYADH: The Foreign Ministry of Saudi Arabia has strongly condemned and denounced the targeting of defenseless civilians in the northern Gaza Strip, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Thursday.
The ministry said that such targeting has resulted in the death of dozens and the injury of hundreds as a result of the occupation forces’ bombing of humanitarian aid queues in Gaza.
It affirmed Saudi Arabia’s absolute rejection of violations of international humanitarian law by any party and under any pretext.
The Kingdom renewed its call on the global community to take a firm stance by asking Israel to respect international humanitarian law, immediately open safe humanitarian corridors, allow the evacuation of the wounded, and enable the delivery of assistance and medical equipment without restrictions to mitigate the humanitarian catastrophe and stop its aggravation.
It stressed the necessity of reaching an immediate ceasefire to stop further innocent civilian casualties.
