JAMMU: In a rally held in Doda town, Jammu, Bharatsinh Solanki, the Congress leader in charge of occupied Jammu and Kashmir affairs, criticized the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for undermining democratic institutions and fostering a divisive political environment.
Solanki accused the BJP of pursuing a politics of vendetta, hatred, and communal division for the sake of vote bank politics, asserting that only Congress, in collaboration with other secular parties, can restore peace, harmony, and progress in the country.
Addressing party workers, he urged them to enlighten the public about the BJP’s diversionary politics, using religious sentiments to divert attention from failures in addressing issues like unprecedented price rises and record unemployment, especially in Jammu and Kashmir.
Vikar Rasool Wani, the President of the occupied Jammu and Kashmir chapter of the Indian National Congress, highlighted the punitive measures taken by the BJP, depriving the people of their rights and status. He emphasized the need for elected representation and criticized the lack of accountability and accessibility of bureaucrats to common people in the territory. The rally aimed to address the grievances of the population, including pension-related protests and the challenges faced by the unemployed.
