ISLAMABAD: After a continuous decrease during the last few days, the per tola price of 24 karats of gold witnessed an increase and went up by Rs.1,000 to settle at Rs.218,000 on Saturday compared to Rs. 217,000 last day.
Meanwhile, according to All Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association, the rates for the 10 grams of 24 karats of the yellow plate also went up by Rs. 857 to settle at Rs.186,900 from its previous day sale of Rs. 186,043 whereas the rates for the 10 grams of 22 karats of the yellow metal increased to Rs.171,325 from its last day price of Rs. 170,539.
However, unlike the international market, the price of per tola and ten grams of the white plate (Silver) witnessed no change and remained constant at Rs.2,660 and 2,280.52, respectively.
In the international market, the rates for silver increased by 0.2% to settle at $23.00 per ounce, while the price went down 1.7% to settle at $954.28.
Gold Price in International Market
Unlike the last couple of days, the price of the yellow plate in the international market witnessed a surge and went up by $7 to close at $2,065 per ounce from its last-day price of $.2,058.
The price of gold in the local bullion market is usually influenced by the price in the international market. The last four days witnessed a significant decrease in the price of the yellow plate in the international market, affecting the local gold market. However, on Saturday, its price went up to affect the domestic bullion market.
