Pakistan, Syria Ask Israel to Halt Brutal Actions in Gaza

DUBAI: Pakistan’s Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar met with his Syrian counterpart Hussein Arnous on the sidelines of COP28 in Dubai, UAE, on Saturday.

During the meeting, they jointly asked Israel to halt its harsh use of force against Palestinians. The leaders urged for an immediate ceasefire, the provision of humanitarian aid, and a resolution of the Palestinian issue in accordance with UN Security Council resolutions.

The discussions between the two leaders encompassed the ongoing Israeli aggression towards the Palestinian population, emphasizing the need for the international community to actively address the situation.

Pakistan, Syria to Strengthen Bilateral Cooperation

Moreover, both leaders affirmed their commitment to fortifying bilateral cooperation across various domains, including the economic, cultural, and tourism sectors. A decision was made to revive the Joint Ministerial Commission.

The leaders also undertook a comprehensive review of the bilateral relationship, expressing mutual dedication to intensify the frequency of political exchanges to strengthen better understanding between the leadership and the respective peoples of both countries.
