RIYADH: Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, has sent a cable of congratulations to Prime Minister of New Zealand Christopher Luxon on the formation of the government and taking the oath, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Monday.

The Crown Prince expressing sincere congratulations to the prime minister, wished him every success in his life. He also wished the friendly people of New Zealand further progress and prosperity.
Former airline chief Christopher Luxon officially took office as New Zealand’s prime minister on Monday. He took over about six weeks following his National Party won elections, ending a six-year Labour Party rule ushered in by former Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern.

After the oath taking ceremony, he told the media that the new job is an honor and a tremendous responsibility.
Luxon becomes the 42nd PM of New Zealand following cobbling together a coalition government in prolonged talks that came to an end Friday, around six weeks after the poll in the country.
