ISLAMABAD: After an increase of Rs900 last day, the per tola price of 24 karats of gold witnessed a decrease by Rs1,200 to Rs.211,800 on Wednesday against its sale at Rs 213,000 on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, according to All Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association, the price of 10 grams of 24 karats of the yellow plate also went down by Rs1,029 to close at Rs181,584 from its previous rate of Rs182,613 whereas the price of 10 grams of 22 karats of gold decreased to Rs166,452.
However, like the last couple of days, the price per tola and 10 grams of the white gold (Silver) remained constant and settled at Rs 2,550 and Rs 2,186.21, respectively.
Gold Price in International Market
Like the local bullion market, rates of the precious metal in the international market also recorded a decrease and went down by $19 to settle at $1,996 per ounce from its last ay price of $2,015 per ounce. Last day, rates of gold in the international market went up by $3; however, on Monday, it recorded a decrease of $14, affecting the local market in the same way.
Recent days witnessed a significant surge in the price of gold in the international market, affecting the rates in the local bullion market. Bullion market experts attribute the price hike to the ongoing Israel-Palestine conflict.
