JENIN: The occupied West Bank has become a battleground, witnessing Israeli violence against innocent Palestinians that resulted in the martyrdom of more than 100 innocent Palestinian civilians since the eruption of war between Israel and Hamas on October 7, the Palestinian health ministry reported on Wednesday.

The conflict has taken a grim toll, with the health ministry in Gaza confirming that by Tuesday, more than 6,500 Palestinian people, the majority of them civilians, had been martyred due to Israel’s brutal bombardment of the territory.

Israeli Forces’ Brutalities Against Palestinians

Israeli forces have been conducting raids that resulted in a large number of casualties, while clashes between Palestinians and Israeli settlers have also intensified, leading to the tragic deaths of Palestinian civilians in the occupied West Bank. Among the recent incidents, four Palestinians lost their lives in Jenin, one in Qalqilya, both located in the northern West Bank. Additionally, one Palestinian was killed in Qalandia, just north of Jerusalem. The Palestinian health ministry attributed these deaths to Israeli “bullets and missiles.”

The West Bank has been under Israeli occupation since the 1967 war, with Israel withdrawing from Gaza in 2005. However, the region remains fraught with tension, and the recent events have only exacerbated the longstanding conflict.
