LONDON: London police said that approximately 100,000 people participated in the “National March for Palestine” demonstration in London to condemn Israel’s continuous bombing campaign, ongoing brutalities, and the complete blockade of Gaza.

“We are all united in conveying the same message: we want an end to the violence. We call for an immediate ceasefire and the safe delivery of essential humanitarian aid to the people of Gaza,” stated Ben Jamal, the director of the Palestine Solidarity Campaign.

He emphasized that the Israeli violence will continue until the root cause is addressed, which he identified as Israel’s decades-long military occupation.

Chants of “Free Palestine,” along with banners and Palestinian flags, filled the streets as the protesters marched through London and gathered at Downing Street, the official residence and office of British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak.
