DUBAI: The leaders of the Arab world have condemned the Israeli airstrike on a hospital in the Gaza Strip, which resulted in the martyrdom of over 500 innocent Palestinian civilians, including children and women.
These denunciations coincided with protests in several nations, including France, Russia, Lebanon, UN, Libya, Jordan, Yemen, Tunisia, Morocco, Turkey, Iran, and the Israeli-occupied West Bank. More demonstrations are planned for Wednesday following calls for a “day of rage” across the region. UN, WHO, African Union, and Arab League also condemned the attack.
Saudi Arabia Condemns Attack on Hospital
Saudi Arabia condemned the strike as “a flagrant violation of all international laws and norms” and denounced Israel’s “continuous attacks against civilians.”
UAE
The United Arab Emirates also strongly voiced their condemnation of the Israeli attack on al-Ahli Arab Hospital in Gaza. The UAE’s official WAM news agency stated, “The United Arab Emirates strongly condemns the Israeli attack…resulting in the death and injury of hundreds of people.”
Bahrain
Bahrain’s foreign ministry also expressed its strong denunciation of the Israeli bombing.
Egypt
Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi strongly condemned the “Israeli bombing” of the Ahli Arab hospital, referring to it as a “deliberate bombing” and a “clear violation of international law.”
UN
UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres expressed being “horrified by the killing of hundreds of Palestinian civilians in a strike on a hospital in Gaza.” He “strongly condemned” the strike without attributing responsibility.
African Union
African Union Chief Moussa Faki Mahamat accused Israel of committing a “war crime” with the deadly strike. He stated, “There are no words to fully express our condemnation of Israel’s bombing of a Gaza hospital today,” and called for international action.
Arab League
Arab League chief Ahmed Aboul Gheit called on the West to intervene and end the tragedy immediately. He warned that the perpetrators will face justice.

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen stated, “There is no excuse for hitting a hospital full of civilians.” She emphasized the need to establish facts and hold all responsible parties accountable.

French President Emmanuel Macron declared that “nothing can justify targeting civilians” and called for humanitarian access to Gaza to be opened without delay.

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz expressed being “horrified” by the strike and called for a thorough investigation.

Iran’s President Ebrahim Raisi declared a day of “public mourning” and stated that the flames from the “US-Israeli bombs” dropped on the hospital would soon consume the Zionists.
Jordan
Jordan’s foreign ministry issued a statement strongly condemning the strike and holding Israel responsible. Dozens of protesters attempted to storm the Israeli embassy compound in Amman.
Qatar
Qatar’s foreign ministry called the strike “a brutal massacre” and “a heinous crime against defenseless civilians,” urging international action.
Russia
Russia’s foreign ministry described the strike as a “crime” and “act of dehumanization.”
Indonesia
Indonesia stated that the strike “clearly violates international humanitarian law” and called on the UN Security Council to take immediate action to stop attacks and violence in Gaza.
Spain
Spain’s foreign ministry condemned the “terrible massacre” and expressed solidarity with the innocent civilian victims. Foreign Minister Jose Manuel Albares stressed that hospitals should never be targeted.
Tunisia
Protesters gathered outside the French embassy in Tunisia, denouncing both the French and American governments as allies of Zionists.
Turkey
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan condemned the strike as an example of Israeli attacks devoid of basic human values, calling on humanity to take action against this unprecedented brutality.
WHO
The World Health Organization’s chief warned that the situation in Gaza is spiraling out of control and called for an end to violence from all sides. Immediate access to deliver life-saving supplies was deemed critical.

During a press conference in Beirut on Wednesday, Palestinian resistance group Hamas called for actions against Israeli forces in the West Bank and other territories in response to the hospital strike. Hamas official Osama Hamdan urged the Palestinian people to “rise up against the Zionist enemy and clash with its forces in all cities, villages, and camps” in the West Bank and Palestine.
