JEDDAH: The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) on Thursday strongly denounced the ongoing Israeli military aggression against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip for the sixth day in a row.

The OIC in a statement said that Israeli bombing has so far martyred more than 1,200, wounding thousands of civilians, including women and children, and destructing civilian facilities, residential buildings, infrastructure and United Nations offices.

It further added that Israel is continuing inhumane water and power cuts with daily deliberate killings in West Bank cities in conjunction with the frequent attacks on Al-Aqsa Mosque.

Israeli aggression on Palestinians a war crime: OIC

The OIC believed the Israeli brutal aggression against the Palestinian people is an open violation of international and humanitarian law and a war crime.

It held Israel, the occupying power, fully responsible for the repercussions of the continuation of this blatant aggression.

The OIC also called upon the international community to intervene urgently to compel Israel, the occupying power, to immediately stop its ongoing aggression against the Palestinian people.

It further asked to ensure the opening of humanitarian corridors to facilitate the uninterrupted supply of medicines and food supplies and basic needs to the Gaza Strip.

The conflict in Gaza has led to a significant loss of life, with more than 1,200 reported casualties due to Israel’s continuous campaign of air and artillery strikes, causing over 338,000 people to be displaced, according to the UN.
