RIO DE JANEIRO: Rui Costa, the Chief of Staff of the presidency of the Republic of Brazil, inaugurated the Saudi-Brazilian International Aviation Conference, which is being hosted by the Brazilian National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC). The primary objective of this conference is to promote increased trade and economic exchange between Saudi Arabia and Brazil.
The opening ceremony was attended by prominent figures, including Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al-Duailej, President of the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA), Dr. Faisal Ghulam, the Saudi Ambassador to Brazil, and various high-ranking officials and CEOs from both Saudi Arabia and Latin American nations.
Promoting Trade and Aviation Excellence
One of the main focuses of the conference is to shed light on investment opportunities within the aviation sector. During his address at the opening ceremony, Al-Duailej emphasized the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s commitment to nurturing relationships founded on trust and diligent work for the benefit of both nations. He highlighted that despite the geographical distance between Saudi Arabia and Brazil, the two countries share a rich history of cooperation and partnerships across various domains.
Participation in this event reflects the Kingdom’s aspiration to demonstrate its global leadership in the aviation sector and its readiness to expand and reinforce collaboration with Brazil. This partnership aligns with the goals of the National Aviation Strategy, which aims to establish Saudi Arabia as a prominent global aviation hub. Brazil contributes its expertise in infrastructure projects and other facets of the aviation industry to support this initiative.
The conference serves as a platform for industry leaders to explore available opportunities in the aviation sector, with a particular emphasis on promoting sustainability and innovation, enhancing the traveler experience, and fostering new collaborations between the public and private sectors. Moreover, it plays a pivotal role in elevating the Kingdom’s international standing and its role as a pioneer in the field of aviation, while also facilitating cooperation between nations to bolster air travel services and agreements.
