SAN FRANCISCO: US President Joe Biden said on Wednesday that the government shutdown is not inevitable, but that if there is one, a lot of important work could be impacted in health and science.
Govt. Shutdown Not Inevitable: Biden
Speaking to media persons after remarks to a group of science advisers in San Francisco, the US President said he did not contemplate anything was inevitable in the field of politics.
Reuters reported that a government shutdown is approaching as a possibility this weekend unless legislators can reach a budget agreement.

President Biden said, “If we have a government shutdown, a lot of important work in the field of science and health could be obstructed. Therefore, the citizens of the US need our Republicans in the House of Representatives to perform their jobs: Fund the government,”.
