Ukraine Forces Launched 12 Strikes on Russian Troops in 24 Hours

KYIV, Ukraine: Ukraine’s Air Force launched 12 strikes on Russian troops, weapons and military equipment clusters over the past 24 hours, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said on Wednesday.

The General staff said Ukrainian forces continued to carry out defensive operations in the east and south of Ukraine, offensive operations in the Melitopol sector and offensive actions in the Bakhmut sector.

The General Staff’s update included details of Ukrainian missile strikes on the following Russian targets: five artillery units, three personnel and military equipment clusters, one command post, and two ammunition depots.

During this 24-hour period, there were 26 recorded combat clashes. The enemy launched 10 missile strikes and carried out 77 airstrikes. Additionally, they initiated 44 MLRS attacks on Ukrainian troop positions and civilian facilities, resulting in unfortunate casualties among the civilian population. Residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure suffered damage as a consequence.

The General Staff further reported that approximately 100 settlements in the regions of Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson were subjected to artillery fire by Russian forces.

On the other hand, Russia claimed that Ukraine’s armed forces executed a total of 14 shelling attacks aimed at the Russian-annexed Ukrainian region of Donetsk, resulting in an injury to a civilian. The Russian Donetsk mission conveyed, ‘Over the past 24 hours, the mission reported 14 shelling attacks by Ukrainian armed groups. A male civilian was reported to have been injured at the Donetsk-Severny station.’ According to the mission, a total of 35 munitions of various types were fired.
