KSrelief Launches Vocational, Business Skills Training in Yemen

Nations Development Program (UNDP) has started the second phase of the Vocational and Business Skills Training and Support Project in Yemen, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Monday.

1,500 young men, women to receive training

During the project, 1,500 young men and women from 24 directorates in nine Yemeni governorates would receive vocational, technical, and business training.

They would be trained in boat engine repair, food production, hand weaving, solar energy system maintenance and installation and textiles. The beneficiaries would also get vocational kits so that they could set up their own businesses after completing the training.

The Yemeni Undersecretary of the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation, Ahmed Hussein Jawi, lauded the efforts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by the KSrelief.

He praised the work of equipping the citizens of Yemen with vocational skills and empowering them economically.

The objective of this project is to help people to start their own projects, reduce unemployment, and enhance income to benefit youth.
