ISLAMABAD: The Pak-China Year of Tourism Exchanges will bring new avenues of understanding between Pakistan and China, as stated by Wasi Shah, the Federal Minister for State for Tourism and Special Assistant to the Prime Minister.
The Pakistan-China Friendship Association Khyber Pakhtunkhwa organized the event at KP House in Islamabad. The event aimed to celebrate 2023 as the Year of Pak-China Tourism Exchanges.
The Federal Minister for State for Tourism, Syed Wasi Ahmad Fatimi (Wasi Shah), along with the Chinese Cultural Counsellor in Pakistan, Zhang Heqing, cut the cake to celebrate 2023 as the Pakistan China Year of Tourism Exchanges.

Minister Wasi Shah emphasized the importance of learning from Chinese experiences in tourism to promote Pakistan as a tourist destination. He highlighted the potential of the tourism industry and the need for international attention.
The event was appreciated for its efforts in highlighting this momentous occasion, which can contribute to earning precious foreign exchange for the country.
The Chinese Counsellor for Culture, Sports, and Education, Zhang Heqing, emphasized the historical significance of the Tourism Exchange in 2023 between Pakistan and China, which will improve understanding and strengthen friendly relations. “Let’s hope that participating in world tourism events organized by China and developing the CPEC tourism corridor will further enhance connectivity and people-to-people interaction, boosting our tourism sector,” he said.
