RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s Cabinet has assessed the Kingdom’s efforts to boost international multilateral cooperation to meet water challenges, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Tuesday.
The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud chaired the Cabinet meeting in NEOM.
Minister of Media Salman bin Yousef Al-Dosari said the Cabinet discussed the efforts made by the Kingdom in enhancing international multilateral cooperation to face water challenges around the world and taking the initiative to help handle them.

Efforts to deal with water challenges include the setting up of Global Water Organization to develop and initiate joint efforts between states and organizations in the field of water to achieve sustainable development goals.
The minister stated that the Cabinet reviewed regional and global developments, as well as the efforts being made in these areas, echoing the importance of cooperation and the consolidation of joint ventures to achieve stability, foster peace, and promote international development.
Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on Monday announced the establishment of a Global Water Organization headquartered in Riyadh. The initiative would strengthen and streamline global endeavors in addressing water challenges.
