ISLAMABAD: The 9th of Muharramul Haram is being observed on Saturday across Pakistan with due solemnity and respect to pay homage to the sacrifice rendered by Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) and his companions in Karbala.
According to state-run Radio Pakistan, majalis will be held in all small and major cities while processions of Tazia and Alam will also be taken out in various cities.
In the federal capital Islamabad, the 9th Muharram procession will be taken out from Markzai Imam Bargah G-6/2. After passing through its traditional route, the procession will culminate at the same point.
Mobile control room
Elaborate security arrangements have been made to thwart any untoward incident.
Meanwhile, on the directions of Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, a mobile control room has been established for the first time in Islamabad as part of the Ashura security plan.
The mobile control room is capable of operating even without mobile signals, ensuring uninterrupted monitoring and coordination.
