NEW YORK: Palestine’s UN Ambassador Riyad Mansour said on Thursday that 7,000 Palestinians including 3,000 children have been martyred by Israeli brutal airstrikes since October 7.
He said, “I repeat, about 3,000 innocent children were killed killed in Gaza during the last three weeks,”. The envoy said in an emotional address to an emergency UNGA session on the Israeli-Palestinians conflict. He warned that there is no time to mourn as more death is on the way.

Mansour said 7,000 Palestinian people have been martyred by Israeli assaults in Gaza, adding that fully 70 percent of all those killed are children and women.
He questioned, “Is this the war some of you are defending? He added that these are crimes and barbarism. He added that about 1,600 Palestinians still lie under the debris, killed or wounded and no one can reach them, to rescue them or bury them.

The envoy said that Israel has destroyed about 40 percent of all houses in Gaza, making an entire population homeless and displacing more than 1.4 million people, in the hope to forcibly transferring these people outside of the area. “Revenge is dead and the only way forward is justice,” the envoy said.
The war in Gaza started on October 7 when Hamas initiated attack in Israel and said that the assault was in retaliation for the attacking of the Al Aqsa Mosque and increasing violence by Israeli settlers against people of Palestine. The Israel launched an indiscriminate bombing in Gaza, targeting schools, hospitals, and residential areas.
