RAMALLAH: The Palestinian Health Ministry said on Monday that at least six Palestinians were martyred in clashes with Israeli troops in several cities in the occupied West Bank. In a statement, the Health Ministry stated that one man was killed in Jericho, 3 in Qalandia in northern Jerusalem and one each in Nablus and Hebron by gunfire from occupation troops.

The ministry added the dead bodies of the three youths from Qalandia had been shifted to a medical center in Ramallah. According to the official Palestinian news agency WAFA Israeli troops had opened fire with live ammunition on the youth in a clash at an army checkpoint.
The Palestinian Red Crescent also said that 3 Palestinians who were seriously injured at the Qalandia checkpoint had been shifted to a hospital.

The Palestinian group Hamas launched an operation on Saturday, adding the surprise attack on Israel was in reply to the attacking of Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied East Jerusalem and increased settler violence. It said it fired many rockets and apprehended many Israelis.
As many as 417 Palestinians have been martyred and about 2,200 others wounded in Israeli airstrikes on Gaza, medical sources said, while more than 700 Israeli were also killed in escalation with Hamas.
