RAWALPINDI: Security forces killed five terrorists in an operation in Zhob, North Balochistan on Wednesday.
Nine soldiers also embraced martyrdom in the operation, according to militray’s media wing ISPR.
“The clearance operation has been completed after the henious attack by terrorists in Zhob, North Balochistan Wednesday morning,” the statement said.
As per earlier reports, four soldiers had embraced martyredom during the clash with the militants, while five were critically injured. However, ISPR said on Wednesday evening that the wounded soldiers succumbed to their injuries, taking the total figure to 9.
It added that security Forces and the nation remain resilient and determined to thwart all such dastardly attempts of the enemy aimed at destroying peace of Balochistan and Pakistan.
Earlier in the morning, a group of terrorists launched a dastardly attack on Zhob Garrison in Northern Balochistan. Initial attempt of terrorists to sneak into the facility was checked by soldiers on duty. In ensuing heavy exchange of fire, the terrorists were contained into a small area at the boundary.
