ISLAMABAD/CANADA: Police have said that 5 people were killed and another injured in the shooting in the suburbs of a Canadian city.
Chief of police Jim McSween said the suspect also died after a cross-firing with armed forces and added that the shooting occurred in an apartment building. The wounded person was taken to hospital, and his life was not in danger.
MacSween said that once the officers arrived, they were met with a horrific scene where numerous victims were deceased. Police have investigated the motive and whether there has a connection between the victims and the male suspect, who has not been named. The victims were found in different apartments in the building, which is located in Vaughan, Toronto.
Media on Canada
Canadian media said residents were evacuated immediately, and many ambulances and police officers were at the scene. A gunman as a disguised policeman killed 22 people in the eastern province of Canada, the worst mass shooting in April 2020.
