ISLAMABAD: An earthquake measuring 5.4 on the Richter Scale jolted District Nushki and its adjoining areas in south western Balochistan province on Wednesday, United States Geological Survey said.
According to USGS, the epicenter of the earthquake was located 67 kilometres northwest of District Nushki at the depth of 10 kilometres.
The tremors were felt in different parts of the district and other adjoining areas.
People came out of their houses in panic and started reciting verses from the Holy Quran. No loss of life and property was reported from any part of the Nushki due to earthquake.
