ISLAMABAD: As many as 46 modern railway bogies manufactured in China have reached Pakistan.

Earlier China provided railway engines to Pakistan some years ago. The bogies reached Pakistan on Sunday. It is important to mention here that in the past, Pakistan Railways carriage factory Islamabad manufactured railway bogies and exported them to Bangladesh, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, etc., but then due to the fiscal deficit, the need of Pakistan could not be met and now Pakistan Railways has ordered new coaches from China to provide the best travel facilities.

It will also import technology for a high-speed railway train running at a speed of 160 km per hour. The 46 bogies equipped with modern facilities reached Karachi port by a ship named MV DAN.

The railway department has also changed the color scheme of the new coaches, the new coaches coming from China will have a green color with a yellow line in the middle.

China will supply parts to Pakistan for assembling 184 more coaches, 46 new modern coaches from China will further improve train operation, and the coaches from China will include Economy, Parlor Car, and AC standard coaches.

The Economy and AC standard coaches have also been equipped with comfortable berths, night lamps, and mobile chargers; Parlor car coaches also have comfortable seats, LEDs, mobile chargers, and other amenities.
