4,420 Palestinians Arrested Since October 7: Report
The number of Palestinians killed in the current Israeli onslaught on the Gaza Strip has reached around 18,800, local authorities said. According to a statement by the Palestinian Government Media Office in Gaza more than 51,000 Palestinians have been wounded by the Israeli military in the besieged Gaza in 70 days of the deadly war between Hamas and Israel.
It added that more than 8,000 children and 6,200 women were killed in the current conflict in the Gaza Strip. It may be recalled that the Israeli military has caused “an unprecedented humanitarian disaster” and immense destruction in the Gaza Strip. Increasing civilian casualties in the Gaza has caused an increasing rift between the US and Israel. But during his trip to Israel, Sullivan had asked hard questions of Israel about the course of their attack against the Gaza Strip. US President Joe Biden said Israel’s “indiscriminate” bombardment of civilians was costing global support.
The prisoner’s society said the total number of Palestinians arrested since October 7 in the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem now stands around 4,420.
