34 Killed, 12 Injured in Algeria Road Crash

ALGIERS: At least 34 people lost their lives, and 12 others sustained injuries in a tragic collision between a bus and a car in Algeria during the early hours of Wednesday, as reported by Algeria’s fire service.

The incident occurred at approximately 4 a.m. (0300 GMT) in the city of Tamanrasset, situated around 1,500 km (930 miles) south of the capital, Algiers. According to a statement from the fire service, the collision resulted in a fire, which led to the deaths of the 34 individuals involved.

Road Accidents in Algeria

Road accidents with fatal consequences are regrettably common in Algeria. Official sources reveal that in 2022 alone, a total of 907 people lost their lives in road accidents.
