Dhanan Jaya de Silva, the star batsman, emerged as the luminary for the Sri Lankan side, exhibiting brilliant innings of 122 runs. His composed and skillful batting display proved to be a pivotal contribution amidst the team’s arduous struggle to establish a commanding score.
Angelo Mathews offered some much-needed support to de Silva’s effort, amassing a respectable 64 runs. Additionally, Samara Vokrama played a crucial knock of 34 runs, while Karunartane added 29 runs to the tally.

The Pakistani bowlers showcased their prowess throughout the innings, inflicting trouble upon the Sri Lankan batsmen. Shaheen Shah Afridi and Naseem Shah emerged as the leading wicket-takers for the Pakistani side, each claiming 3 crucial wickets. Their relentless bowling attack kept the Sri Lankan batsmen on their toes, making it arduous for them to forge substantial partnerships.
Adding to the bowling prowess, Abrar Ahmed also captured 3 wickets, further denting the Sri Lankan batting line-up. Agha Salman contributed with a wicket as well, ensuring that the Pakistan bowlers collectively stifled the Sri Lankan batting order, sharing the responsibility among themselves.
