290 Students Land in Peshawar from Kyrgyzstan

PESHAWAR: A total of 290 Pakistani students on Wednesday arrived at Bacha Khan International Airport, Peshawar from Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, following violent clashes in the city last Friday.

The first flight, carrying these students, touched down at BKIA, where they were warmly welcomed by provincial minister for Higher Education Meena Khan, MNA Faisal Amin Gandapur, and other officials.

Provincial Finance Adviser Muzamil Aslam has said that another special flight is scheduled to depart for Bishkek on Wednesday to bring back more students.

Muzamil revealed that the provincial government had already allocated Rs 60 million for the immediate repatriation of Pakistani students stranded in Kyrgyzstan. He assured that the government will take every step to facilitate the students in

Muzamil emphasized that under the directives of KP CM Ali Amin Gandapur, students from KP and other districts could register for their safe return by contacting the provided number.
