26 Dead as Snowstorm Cripples Life in US

ISLAMABAD: For the past week, most of the United States has been pummeled by a snowstorm with high winds, heavy snow, and intense cold making life miserable. Thousands remain without power while at least persons have been reported dead.

Forty-three inches of snowfall in Buffalo city

According to US weather sources, on Sunday as much as 43 inches of snow fell in New York state’s Buffalo city. In this regard, Erie County officials stated that roads were not passable and power substations were frozen due to the blizzard and heavy snow.

This winter storm has ruined the Christmas holiday plans for hundreds of thousands across the US.

Many states in the US South have in place freeze warnings while more than 55 million people across the US were issued wind chill alerts.
