ISLAMABAD/MOSCOW: The authorities in Moscow have said that two people died and 5 others were injured in a major fire that engulfed the oil refinery in the Siberia of Russia, on Thursday.
In recent months Russia had seen a series of frequent blazes ripping through the shopping center, factories, and other facilities.
Oil refinery caught fire in the morning
The official said that in the incident, an oil refinery in the Siberian caught fire at around 6:00 am local time in Russia. The governor Igor Kobzev said that 2 people died and 5 more were injured, one of whom was hospitalized.
The emergencies ministry said on messaging app Telegram that the fire was thought to have been caused by the gas contamination. Investigators have opened a criminal probe into a violation of industrial safety regulations.
