LAHORE: At least 12 passengers were killed and 65 injured when a commuter bus overturned on the Motorway near Salt range in Chakwal district of Punjab, Pakistan, local media reported on late Sunday.
12 Passengers killed in road mishap
Rescue sources told a local news channel that the mishap happened when a bus went out of control and fell into a ditch at motorway. The police and rescue teams rushed to the site after the road accident.
District Emergency officer told the media that the rescue operation has been completed and all the injured were shifted to hospital for medical treatment. Police said that three women were also among the killed passengers. It expressed fear that the death toll may increase further as several wounded were in critical condition.
