12 Girls Killed Due to Drug Overdose at Karachi Dance Parties

KARACHI: At least 12 young girls have been killed due to prohibited drug overdose at different dance parties at farmhouses in Karachi, according to the police.

The shocking fact came to limelight after the body of a girl was found in the jurisdiction of the Sachal Police Station on September 27. Sindh Police Special Investigation Unit (SIU) sealed the farmhouse of a government employee and arrested four caretakers including a woman and the farm manager.

According to SIU SSP Junaid Sheikh the victim was given prohibited drugs and her body was then dumped at an unknown location.

He said according to the records of the rescue agencies, 12 young girls have been found buried during past few weeks and what prompted the police was that no related record of the deceased was found.

The police official suspects the latest discovery of the girl from jurisdiction of Sachal Police Station is continuation of the same.

He was of the view that all these young girls were given overdoses of prohibited drugs at dance parties which led to their deaths.

The police officials said that the interrogation of the arrested suspects is underway while the rescue organizations have also been taken on board to prevent such cases from happening in the future.
